Faraday Bicycle
The portfolio describes a collaboration between an IDEO design team and Rock Lobster Custom Cycles. The bicycle combined electric assistance, lighting, and an interchangeable front cargo arrangement.
An integrated utility-bicycle concept
The relevant design theme is integration: carrying, visibility, and assistance were considered together as an everyday object. A cargo attachment influences the frame and front end, while lighting and electrical assistance need to fit the same overall experience.
