The Mendota Mental Health Institute at the University of Minnesota is a truly amazing center where people can get the mental health care they deserve. This is because they have a focus on the whole person, not just the symptoms or the disorders they are dealing with.
The folks who work at Mendota have created a really great program that provides treatment to the whole person. It’s not just psychotherapy. But also counseling, counseling, counseling, and more counseling. They have an impressive network of therapists and psychologists . Who are trained to help the whole person. Not just the symptoms or the disorders they are dealing with. It’s an incredible program and the people who work there are truly a part of the Minnesota Valley.
What is the best part of this program?
I think the best part about this program is that it is not just about psychotherapy or whatever. Its also about the whole person. I have had people who have been helped through their disorders. They recovered after years of therapy who had just been through the treatment. Instead of just treating the symptoms, it is treating the whole person for the cause of the disorder. This is a very new and groundbreaking program. I am so glad that they are still doing it.
I have been toying with the idea of joining the mental health and alcohol/drug treatment programs at Mendota Mental Health Institute. But I am not really sure if I can do long term. But I am glad that it is being offered. That I can now help people. It is not something I want to put off for too long though.
